A lot going on this weekend in and around Annapolis. Full details for each event available at AnnapolisYogaCalendar.com
8:45 am – Yoga Basics class at Shakti Studio ($15) – geared towards beginners looking to learn basic poses and get started with yoga. In case you haven’t been to Shakti before, they typically have a great student to instructor ratio and offer lots of hands on suggestions and assistance.
9:00am – Free In-store Yoga class at Lululemon Annapolis with Shannon Morton of Prana Yoga Studio. They suggest bringing your own mat, but do have so extras there.
2:00pm – Heart Centered Yoga Class at Ridgely Retreat (discounted drop-in rate of $14) – A yoga class focused on opening the heart center, balancing the chakras, nurturing the soul and experiencing gratitude
2:00pm – Introduction to Yoga class at Prana – class explores foundations of yoga including basic poses and breathing techniques to calm your mind and energize your body.
3:00pm – Valentine’s Partner Yoga at Premier Health Club – special Valentine’s Partner Yoga session led by instructor Alicia Sweeney. Among its benefits, the special class encourages nonverbal communication and cooperation between couples. Admission for member couples is $35, non-member couples $45. Space is limited.
6:15pm – Free Yoga For Veterans Class with Christopher Keller (Towson) – This is a free class offered to any military veterans, active duty or first responders. The class is a vinyasa style class with emphasis on pranayama, asana and relaxation. Challenging but for all levels.
1:30pm – Partner Yoga Valentine’s Workshop at Shakti Studio – 2 are better than 1 in this fun and interactive yoga workshop. Come celebrate for Valentines Day and play yoga with your BFF, spouse, family member, or come alone and find a new buddy. See how you can safely go deeper into your poses with support. Suitable for all levels of yoga experience. Tea and snacks provided. $20.00/single $35.00/couple
5:00pm – Yogapuncture – Dianna Sisas and Molly Harding are teaming up to offer something special this Valentines! Molly will lead you through a 45 minute yoga practice and then we will take a short break before Dianna will do her acupuncture magic on your ears. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing for an evening to remember! $30 per person. Limited to 12 participants so sign up early
6:15 – Community Hot Vinyasa at Charm City Yoga Severna Park – Practiced in a room heated to 85 – 90 degrees so your body is warmed, allowing for deeper stretching. All levels of practitioners are welcomed. Please bring water and a towel, and arrive early as these classes fill quickly. Community Classes are $6, CASH ONLY.
